In 2016, Rising Tide Consultants was very busy – growing our services beyond BC liquor licenses to include Alberta and Ontario liquor license services as well as all provinces, SKU registration, agent registration, and manufacturers license application services.
Before we review our year, we’d like to wish all of you a very Happy Holidays and New Year! We hope that 2017 brings you good health and prosperity, both personally and professionally. We want to thank our clients for their continued support and loyalty. You are the reason our business thrives and we are all grateful that you continue to choose Rising Tide Consultants for liquor license consultation services.
BC Liquor License Application Services
With a constantly changing landscape for BC liquor license applicants, our consultants were busier than ever in 2016. Our clients contacted us regarding current issues like selling wine in grocery stores, BC Liquor Control and Licensing Branch’s Liquor Policy Review and Implementation, and, who will oversee licensing for marijuana distribution and sales in BC if marijuana is legalized.
Expanded Provincial Liquor License Services
In 2016, we expanded our services beyond BC to include all provinces. We began with Alberta and Ontario by creating service pages dedicated to these provinces, and will be adding more for other provinces in the new year, as well as helpful articles and industry information in our blog posts.Alberta Liquor License Application Services
Our Alberta Liquor License page generated a lot of interest and contacts from Albertans (and people from other provinces doing business in Alberta). Liquor licensing in Alberta is administered differently than in BC, and, for the public, the application process can be daunting. Just as with our BC services, our Alberta consulting services guide applicants through the complex process, increasing the chances of a successful application. We also experienced a dramatic increase in inquiries about our Ontario liquor license application and consultancy services, from both Ontarians and people doing business in Ontario. We created a dedicated page, describing our services for prospective applicants who need help with Ontario’s complex application process. There are similarities between BC, Alberta and Ontario liquor license requirements but also some important differences in license-types and the application process itself, such as Ontario’s 6-month community notification requirement for prospective pubs and restaurants. We have continued to expand our liquor licensing consultation services to meet the needs of our clients doing business in all Canadian provinces, except for Quebec (for the time being).BCLDB Consultancy Services for Agents and Manufactures
In 2016, we enhanced our already busy BCLDB-related services including: agent and manufacturer’s licensing services, BCLDB liaison services, and SKU registration outsourcing. SKU registration outsourcing is a huge time-saver for our clients – as is having our expert guidance fulfilling BCLCB requirements.
