Rising Tide Consultants wants to congratulate the BC Restaurant Food Services Association for partnering with the BC Hospitality Foundation so that profits from the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame gala will benefit the valuable organization.
The annual event is set for Oct. 1 at the Italian Cultural Centre.
“I’m thrilled about the great work the foundation does for the hospitality industry and encourage people to donate to the worthy cause,” said Rising Tide President Bert Hick. “I would also like to thank all the companies that have come forward to provide auction items for the event that will raise funds for the foundation.”
The British Columbia Hospitality Foundation is a charity that raises funds to support those in the hospitality industry facing financial crisis due to a health issue. Those who have received support include individuals with medical issues, as well as those whose children have battled serious illnesses.
Each year hundreds of hospitality workers across B.C. face financial challenges and have nowhere else to turn. The BCHF helps them when all other options have been exhausted.
The organization also offers scholarship programs to foster the development of the next generation of workers and industry leaders. These scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in hospitality, culinary, sommelier, beverage and other hospitality-related programs in BC.
At the event to benefit BCHF, Hall of Fame inductees will be honoured.
The evening will feature a reception presented by the Keg Steakhouse & Bar and Gordon Food Service, celebrity presenters and guests and a veritable feast prepared by the Italian Cultural Centre’s Executive Chef Jackson Noah which of course will be paired with the best of BC wines.
